Serralves Museum takes works of Miró Collection to Naples

The exhibition “Joan Miró and the Language of Signs“, organized by the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, opened to the public at the Palazzo Delle Arti Napoli in Naples, Italy.

The exhibition, curated by Robert Lubar Messeri, which will be on display until February 23, 2020, was organized by the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art from the Portuguese State Collection, on deposit at the Serralves Foundation.

Joan Miró

The 80 works of Catalan surrealist painter Joan Miró in the State collection, dating from 1924 to 1981 and selected for exhibition in Naples, allow following the artist’s career with a career of over six decades.

It operates by providing for the collection of collections by the owner of the Portuguese Stato in deposit with the Serralves Foundation of Porto.

He is promising his advice to the Culture and Tourism of the Commune of Napoli, with the support of the Minister of Portuguese Culture, and the sponsorship of the Portuguese Ambassador in Italy and organizing the Fondazione Serralves di Portocon C.O.R. Creare Organizzare Realizzare.

Joan Miró’s fantastic, dreamlike and feverishly creative world is presented to the public from September 25, 2019, to February 23, 2020, at the PAN Palazzo Delle Arti Napoli, with the exhibition entitled “Joan Miró and the Language of Signs”.
