SIC Esperança celebrates 20 years with the launch of a national fundraising campaign

“Little Money for Kids” aims to support public schools in the 1st cycle of basic education.

Two weeks away from marking its twentieth anniversary (October 6), SIC Esperança launches a national fundraising campaign, entitled “Dinheiro Miúdo para os Múdos”. The project aims to support public schools in the 1st cycle of basic education, namely through the financing of projects aimed at carrying out small restoration works, purchasing teaching materials, sports equipment or other types of support considered relevant for the proper functioning of the school. school.

With this initiative, SIC Esperança seeks to blur the differences that exist in school buildings, particularly about the conditions of space and available materials, so that all children have a dignified school journey, without setbacks or adversities.

The fundraising campaign will take place between September 20th and October 29th and, as the name suggests, it is about donating the “change” that is in our wallets. To this end, more than a thousand piggy banks will be available throughout the country, and MBWay can also be used, through the QRCode associated with the campaign or using the Ser Solidário section of the Multibanco. The classic bank transfer to SIC Esperança is also available, using IBAN PT50 0007 0096 0002 2990 0082 4.

The project starts with 14 schools already selected, which will receive financial support according to the needs mentioned. Today’s date also marks the launch of a second phase of applications that must be submitted by Parents’ Associations. If the school does not have a legally constituted Parents’ Association, it may select a non-profit association from its parish to represent it within the scope of this competition.
