Simple Minds announce new dates in Portugal for 2022

Taking into account the current panorama of the world pandemic situation, the Simple Minds shows are postponed to 2022.

On June 21, at Coliseu Porto AGEAS and on June 22, at Campo Pequeno. Tickets already purchased remain valid for the new date. For those who have not purchased, tickets are already on sale at everythingisnew.pt.

The iconic band returns to Portugal after an unforgettable acoustic concert, given in Lisbon and Porto in May 2016. History promises to repeat itself, but now the pretext is stronger: four decades, 21 works published, and millions of fans around the world.

Without losing their purest essence, Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill, promise a superb show, full of nostalgia, but also full of modernity.

On this return to the stage, Jim Kerr, the leader of the band, reinforces, “I am grateful for the career we had, but I am crazy enough to think that we can still reach new levels. That’s what we do: write, record and play live ”.

Perhaps it is because of this way of being and feeling the music that Simple Minds entered the list of the 100 most influential bands in the world, alongside names such as Radiohead, Primal Scream, Manic Street Preachers or The Killers.

The ingredients for two more unique shows are gathered. The band is eager to surprise the Portuguese audience, with two concerts that promise to make history.
