Aerial view over the city of Sines, a place full of history since the Roman Empire serving as the port city of Miróbriga, to the Age of Discovery, the birthplace of the navigator and explorer Vasco da Gama. Over the years the city has developed in the direction of the industry, having now one of the most prominent ports in Portugal.
