Sinfonietta de Braga premieres new show: Re:Opera – Belo é o Destino Desconhecido

The Sinfonietta de Braga premieres on May 9th, at 9:30 pm, at Theatro Circo, a new show that explores music as an infinite language of the dialects it represents: Re:Opera – Belo é o Destino Desconhecido (Re:Opera – Beautiful is the Unknown Destiny).
Re:Opera proposes a conversation in two languages, creating bridges between musical universes – opera as an erudite genre and, in this first edition, fado as a musical style. Throughout the show, fado and what is considered the greatest human drive – desire – are celebrated, while at the same time we meditate on determinism and free will, opening the door to fate, fortune and passion through the word fado.
The Sinfonietta de Braga is made up of a collective of young artists and is dedicated to programming, training and musical creation, celebrating the past and projecting the future. In this opera, the musical direction is by Jan Wierzba, the musical composition is by Pedro Lima, winner of the Best Classical/Erudite Music Album at this year’s Play Awards, and the staging is by Daniela Cruz based on the libretto by Marta Pais Oliveira. With artistic curation by renowned guitarist Artur Caldeira, and starring the voices of fado singer Tiago Correia and lyrical singers Raquel Mendes, Sofia Marafona, Rafaella Veiga and Rui Vieira.
