Sintra among the ‘Wonders of the World’ for Lonely Planet

‘Wonders of the World’ is a paper edition, which appeared in online and physical bookstores to inspire travel to 2020. The next edition of the book is set for 2024.

“Leaving a fairy tale”. This is how Lonely Planet describes Sintra in the book ‘Lonely Planet’s Wonders of the World’ – a 368-page paper and online edition that features “101 wonderful landscapes” and hopes to inspire 2020 travel.

The travel guide publisher has placed the village and surrounding area alongside the Great Wall of China, the Egyptian Pyramids, Mount Kilimanjaro and other iconic locations.

The mountains, forests, Pena National Palace or Quinta da Regaleira were some of the highlights given by Lonely Planet.
