Sintra hosts Jazz Festival in September
The Sintra City Council promotes the Sintra Jazz Festival, from September 17th to 19th, at Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval.
Jazz takes to the stage at the Jorge Sampaio Auditorium with the presentation of 5 concerts as a way of publicizing the excellent musical work that takes place in our country, providing the public with a stylistic range full of quality and aesthetic diversity.
The Sintra Jazz Festival has as its main objectives the dissemination of this musical expression in the county, as well as making known to the local public, and beyond, part of the musicians and the excellent jazz music that is currently made in Portugal.
Artists such as Mário Laginha, Ensemble Coreto, Maria João and Carlos Bica, João Paulo Esteves da Silva and the Hot Clube de Portugal Jazz Orchestra with Julian Arguëlles, will interpret themes that do not lack sound mixtures and improvisation.
The Sintra Jazz Festival is part of the programming of the project of the 18 municipalities of the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon, Mural 18.
