Sintra’s Christmas Kingdom is returning to the streets of the historic town, from the 1st to the 30th of December, maintaining its solidarity purpose and an offer for all tastes, full of unforgettable moments and joy.
From Thursday to Sunday, Parque da Liberdade transforms into an even more magical place and is populated by fairies, elves, snowmen and reindeer, in an environment that provides visitors with unforgettable moments.
Visitors to the Kingdom of Christmas will have free moments of entertainment and circus shows, videomapping and music at their disposal, in an incredible setting where the town of Sintra dresses up as Christmas.
On the inauguration day of the Kingdom of Natal, on December 1st, starting at 11:00 am, the Sintra School Orchestra plays Christmas classics that will delight the whole family and at 11:30 am the now traditional motorbike parade takes place and the arrival of the Santa Claus at Parque da Liberdade.
Circus arts will also be present, on the 8th, 9th, 10th and 17th of December, in a show presented by Trupe Hilariante. This festive season, the circus is an icon and could not fail to be present.
Concerts are also part of this program and Orquestra Claves de Som performs on December 17th, at 4 pm.
Terreiro Rainha Dona Amélia, next to the Palace, will also become a true meeting point and, as in previous years, will be the place chosen to hold the Sintra Christmas Market, where you can find unique gifts or delight in wonderful delicacies typical of the festive season, from the 1st to the 30th of December, from Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
As in previous years, the NewsMuseum joins the celebrations of the Christmas Kingdom, by boosting the NewsTV activity, with a report on the Christmas Kingdom.
Entry to the Kingdom of Christmas is free but visitors are invited to offer a non-perishable food item and either food or blankets for animals that will certainly contribute to improving the lives of families and animals that benefit from the support of social solidarity associations.
