THE NINJA SPIRIT still resonates as one of the works that marked the national hip-hop scene in the first half of the year, but 2024 is already approaching its final stretch at the same speed with which SleepyThePrince seeks to reinvent himself. Still with a larger project in sight, the rapper, producer, songwriter, and creative director returns with inevitable new creations through an unmissable EP.
Composed of three tracks, 003 is set to debut in three acts, with “LA” being released as the first of three themes. “IMPRENSA” and “ABOUT IT” follow, completing the trio of tracks that comprise SleepyThePrince’s latest editorial project. Until now, he has been showcasing his latest solo album on stage, leaving his unmistakable mark at festivals such as Beat Fest and Sudoeste.
Described by the author himself as a song of personal affirmation, reflecting determination and resilience to succeed artistically, “LA” paves the way for a fast track of three songs emphasising the artist’s lyrical and metric abilities. Each produced by different producers, Yeezyuri sets the rhythm heading towards “LA“, in a first stop that — without wasting time — immediately anticipates the two that follow. And it is the “prince” himself, helmet on, who foresees this long race on the horizon: “Man, tell everyone that we’re coming.”
