In a year in which Slimmy celebrates 20 years of career with Best-Of – “20 Years, The Best (Of) is Yet To Come”, the musician has an even stronger reason to celebrate: he was a father for the first time and presents single “My Baby Camila” in a special dedication to her daughter.
“My Baby Camila” is about a whole new world of feelings boiling for the first time, but with the explosive electro punk sound that characterizes Slimmy from the beginning of her career. It is a story of the purest love, told in 2 and a half minutes, at the dizzying speed of a train without brakes.
The new single will be available on digital platforms on May 28th and is the first sample of a new album that Slimmy is preparing in the studio and which is planned for the end of the year or beginning of 2022.
After an atypical and difficult year for most of the artistic class, Slimmy is ready to get back on the road and present the public with his greatest successes through Best-Of, which in addition to including 21 themes, brings a photo book allusive to each year, pins, and a folder with access to exclusive and unpublished material, such as concerts, remixes, demos, etc. The edition “20 Years, The Best (Of) is Yet To Come” also recovers one of the most electrifying themes of its first album with the single “Set Me on Fire”.
In this special edition, themes such as “Beatsound Loverboy”, “Um Anjo Como Tu”, “You Should Never Leave Me Before I Die”, among many others, stand out. Slimmy and his electro punk/rock sound combined with his irreverent look has undoubtedly won his place in the history of national music.
