SLIPKNOT confirmed at EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL 2025

One of the most explosive and visceral bands in modern metal history, SLIPKNOT will bring their overwhelming energy to EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL.
Lisbon is preparing to be again the epicentre of heavy music with the return of EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL on 27, 28 and 29 June next year. For the first time outdoors, the festival promises to transform the iconic Restelo Stadium into an authentic sanctuary where fans from around the world will gather to celebrate the power and diversity of heavy music. Today, Tuesday, December 3, the organization proudly announces SLIPKNOT as the first confirmed band for the 2025 edition, reinforcing the ambition to create a truly unique experience for the audience.
Formed in 1995 in Des Moines, Iowa, SLIPKNOT are much more than a metal band: they represent a cultural force that has transcended generations, redefining the sound and aesthetics of the genre. With their iconic masks and a lineup of nine musicians, the collective is known for starring performances that are at the same time chaotic, intense and unforgettable. The homonymous debut album, from 1999, started a meteoric rise, with Iowa, released just two years later, consolidating its position as one of the most impactful and innovative bands in heavy music. Over seven studio albums, including the latest We Are Not Your Kind and The End, So Far from 2019 to 2022, SLIPKNOT have remained resilient, overcoming personal tragedies and formation changes without ever compromising their artistic vision.
The announcement of the Americans SLIPKNOT as the first name confirmed for the EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL 2025 underlines already the bet to bring some of the biggest names of heavy music to Lisbon and, after two editions that affirmed the event as a reference in the European circuit, the organization promises to raise the bar even further next year. The transition to the Restelo Stadium, an outdoor space with the capacity to receive crowds of fans, reflects this ambition and ensures a conducive environment to enjoy memorable performances.
EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL will take place on June 27, 28 and 29, 2025, with more artist confirmations to be announced later this week.
