Slow J confirmed at Ageas Cooljazz on July 23
Ageas Cooljazz welcomes Slow J for the first time. Slow J presents his latest album, Afro Fado, on July 23rd at the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo in Cascais, taking a unique route.
Slow J surrounds himself with urban sounds, mixing hip-hop with tradition, creating a sound of its own. In the 6th edition of the Play – Portuguese Music Awards, the artist received two awards in the Best Male Artist and Critical Award categories, with his latest album Afro Fado. “Tata“, one of the themes that are part of the last album of the artist, is the most-heard song of the year on Spotify in Portugal. He’s also the fifth-most-heard artist in the country.
He released his first album in 2015 with the album The Free Food Tape (with the theme “Cristalina”), followed in 2017 by The Art Of Slowing Down (“Vida Boa“). In 2019, the artist edited You Are Forgiven (which includes themes like “Teu Eternamente” and “FAM” feat Papillon). Slow J’s career has also led him to collaborate with artists such as Sara Tavares, Dino D’Santiago, Teresa Salgueiro, Ivandro, and Sam The Kid, among others.
The premiere at Ageas Cooljazz 2025 is scheduled for July 23, guaranteeing a special concert at the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo in Cascais.
Benjamin Clementine (4 July), Seal (12 July) and Gilsons (17 July) are also confirmed at Ageas Cooljazz 2025.
Ageas Cooljazz has 4 concerts per night
With doors opening at 7 pm, the Cascais Jazz Sessions by Smooth FM begin at 8 pm in the Marechal Carmona Park Amphitheater then on the Ageas Stage, the first Concert followed by the Great Concert on the same stage. After the big concert on stage Ageas, the Late Nights start in the Anfiteatro of Parque Marechal Carmona.
