The Organizing Committee of the Clio Trophy Portugal announces the reformulation of the calendar for the second edition of the trophy, which now includes (at least) five rallies held on asphalt surfaces. The amount of prizes to be distributed throughout the season is €40,000.

Avaliados diferentes pressupostos, a Comissão Organizadora do Clio Trophy Portugal tomou a decisão de reformular o calendário de 2025. A exemplo da bem-sucedida edição de estreia, a época deste ano só vai contemplar provas de asfalto, uma medida que também tem impacto na redução dos orçamentos.
O calendário definitivo vai contemplar (pelo menos) cinco ralis de asfalto, mas quatro já estão definidos:
13 e 14 de junho – Rali Castelo Branco e Vila Velha de Ródão.
15 e 16 de setembro – Rali da Água-Transibérico Eurocidade Chaves-Verín.
17 e 18 de outubro – Rali Vidreiro Centro de Portugal.
31 de outubro e 01 de novembro – Rally de Lisboa.
Having assessed different assumptions, the Organising Committee of the Clio Trophy Portugal has decided to reformulate the 2025 calendar. Following the example of the successful debut edition, this year’s season will only include asphalt races, a measure that will also have an impact on budget reductions.
The final calendar will include (at least) five asphalt rallies, but four have already been defined:
13th and 14th of June – Rally Castelo Branco and Vila Velha de Ródão.
15th and 16th September – Water Rally-Transibérico Eurocity Chaves-Verín.
17th and 18th October – Central Portugal Glass Rally.
31st October and November 1st – Lisbon Rally.
The sporting and technical regulations will be revealed next February, but as far as prizes are concerned, the amount of €40,000 to be distributed throughout the season is confirmed.
Michelin will be the new tyre supplier, joining Mobilize Financial Services and MOTRIO as partners in the initiative promoted by Renault Portugal.
An excellent season in perspective, also due to the success of last year’s edition: the confirmation of the Clio Trophy Portugal as a school of talent; an unbeatable competitiveness/price ratio; and the impeccable reliability of the Clio Rally 5 which, in 2024, did not record a single withdrawal due to technical problems!
With FIA homologation, the Clio Rally 5 that serves as the basis for the trophy is equipped with a Sadev sequential gearbox, self-locking differential, suspensions and brakes developed for competition and, of course, all the safety equipment required by international regulations. The most competitive and successful proposal for drivers who dream of the opportunity to compete, at the controls of a competitive, reliable and affordable car.
