Soam as Guitarras announces the full lineup for the 9th edition

A festival that combines tradition, innovation and memorable encounters

The 9th edition of Soam as Guitarras takes place in Oeiras, Póvoa de Varzim and Setúbal, bringing together names such as Carolina Deslandes, Sara Correia, João Pedro Pais, Luísa Amaro, Pedro Branco, among many others, in an intimate celebration of the guitar.

The Soam as Guitarras Festival returns between April and May 2025, once again celebrating the diversity and magic of the guitar. Spread across Oeiras, Póvoa de Varzim and Setúbal, the program promises remarkable and intimate nights in some of the most emblematic venues in these cities.

In Oeiras, the Ruy de Carvalho Municipal Auditorium hosts unique concerts such as Luísa Amaro’s tribute to the centenary of master Carlos Paredes (April 12), the revisiting of Marco Paulo’s classics in a special show led by Pedro Branco, with Benjamim, Luís Severo and Margarida Campelo (May 8), and unprecedented musical encounters such as André Santos with Manuela Azevedo (May 10) or Tainá who invites Joana Alegre (May 9). The stage also welcomes André Sardet Trio (April 10) and Joana Almeirante (April 11).

The emblematic Fábrica da Pólvora de Barcarena – Pátio do Enxugo presents two exciting moments: Sara Correia and Diogo Clemente in an intimate dialogue between voice and guitar (May 23) and the powerful voice of Carolina Deslandes, in an intimate concert alongside guitarist Feodor Bivol (May 24).

In Póvoa de Varzim, the Cine-Teatro Garrett will host performances by João Pedro Pais, accompanied by guitarist Sérgio Mendes (May 16) and Carolina Deslandes, accompanied by Feodor Bivol (May 17), inviting audiences from the north to two engaging nights, marked by great songs and lots of emotion.

Setúbal welcomes the diversity of sound with shows at the Cinema Charlot Municipal Auditorium, curated by Vasco Durão (Guitarras Ao Alto), the result of a unique collaboration between two festivals that share the same passion for the guitar and its infinite artistic possibilities. Highlights include Inóspita with João Luzio and Rafael Chiotti (Guitar Academy. Music and Technology) (May 22) and Velho Homem (May 23), a project recently formed by Afonso Dorido (Homem em Catarse, indignu) and Francisco Silva (Old Jerusalem).

The iconic Fórum Luísa Todi welcomes Sara Correia and Diogo Clemente (May 28) and Carolina Deslandes (May 30), closing the festival with a remarkable show alongside Feodor Bivol, culminating in a final celebration full of sounds that span generations and musical styles.

Tickets for the shows in Póvoa de Varzim are now available at the usual locations. In the case of the shows in Oeiras and Setúbal, ticket sales will begin next Tuesday, March 18, allowing the public, from that date onwards, to guarantee their place in this unique encounter around the guitar.

The Soam as Guitarras Festival is a celebration of the multiple languages ​​of the guitar, offering the public an intimate and emotional experience, where each show is a tribute to the pure essence of music.

Since its creation, it has been growing and establishing itself as a reference event, promoting unique encounters between artists and the public in an intimate format. Over the years, the event has expanded to several cities, having welcomed iconic names in Portuguese music, such as António Chainho, Dead Combo, Márcia and other renowned artists.

The Soam as Guitarras Festival is an initiative co-produced by Ghude, the Municipality of Oeiras, the Municipality of Póvoa de Varzim and the Municipality of Setúbal, reinforcing the commitment to the appreciation of the guitar and its artistic expression in different geographies.
