Sofia Leão, one of the most captivating new promises in Portuguese music, is preparing to take to the stage for the first time with Mar, her debut album. The presentation concerts will take place on May 2nd and 3rd, at MACAM – Armando Martins Museum of Contemporary Art, in Lisbon.
After making herself known with the songs “Valsa” and “Não meconhece”, Sofia Leão now reveals her complete universe, in a show that promises to be as intimate as it is immersive. At 18 years old, the singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer performs live with the depth and maturity of someone who already has a lot to say — and knows how to do it.
With a sound that combines crystalline piano, ethereal electronics, and delicate vocal harmonies, Mar is a sensorial journey that invites the audience to immerse themselves in unique emotional landscapes.
Produced in partnership with João Eleutério, this first work reflects a personal journey that began at a young age — at the age of 10, he was already composing, and at 15, he transformed his bedroom into a studio where songs full of feeling were born.
Daughter of musician Rodrigo Leão, with whom she recorded for the first time at the age of 13, Sofia is now asserting her own musical identity, in a live debut that promises to be unmissable.
