Sofia Ramos
One of the most beautiful voices of fado, she was, for two months, a resident fado singer at “Povo” where she developed her knowledge and passion for fado.

According to the fado singer, she finds in this style the best way to express herself looking for the truth of the words she sings. Since then she has invested in her musical career having sung in several places and in the most diverse contexts.

With musical training, Sofia studied Piano and in the family her grandfather was part of the Alentejo singing group in her village, Safara, while her brother plays the guitar and sings, making music an integral part of family gatherings and from a very young age, Fado was the election style.

The Patriarchal Reservoir is located in the basement of Praça do Príncipe Real, it was built between 1860-64, and was the most important in the water distribution network in the downtown area of Lisbon.

Octagonal in shape, it consists of 31 pillars measuring 9.25 meters that support the ashlar arches. These, in turn, support the vaults, giving the space an atmosphere of grandeur.

Supplied by the Águas Livres Aqueduct, it was deactivated in 1949. It currently provides underground access to the Loreto Gallery, with an extension of 410 meters, connecting it to the São Pedro de Alcântara Garden.

The Patriarchal Reservoir has fantastic acoustics, being used for concerts and events including Fado concerts, performed by Real Fado.
