Solidary basket warms homes of São Bráz and Alportel this Christmas

Solidarity and fraternity give true meaning to the Christmas spirit. It is in this spirit that the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel, in partnership with entities and with an entire solidarity community, once again promotes a series of initiatives under the Solidarity Christmas 2019.

Among these initiatives is the distribution of the Solidarity Basket of Consoled, which is an essential contribution so that the neediest families in the county can have a decent Christmas dinner.
The solidarity baskets, with food and toys for the little ones, were delivered to about 300 families in the county.

A joint initiative of the São Brás de Alportel City Council and Parish Council, in partnership with Cáritas Diocesana, of São Brás de Alportel and with the support of the Salvation Army’s São Brás nucleus in the distribution of toys to children, through an action of the “Christmas Angels”, through the collaboration of ACA, Association of Aid to Needy Children of the Algarve.

The 2019 edition of Christmas Solidarity also featured another solidarity action to distribute gifts to the most vulnerable families, which took place on the 18th, in an initiative once again developed by the Algarve Hunters Federation, with the support of Sarah. Trading and the local support of the monitoring team of families benefiting from Social Insertion Income.

The same spirit and willingness allow the Solidarity Christmas 2019 program to once again feature the Solidarity Dinner of Kings, which will take place on January 10, an initiative that aims to warm the hearts of the neediest households in the municipality, with the organization of conviviality and a decent and healthy meal.
A possible initiative with the support of many entities and companies of the county that every year join this solidarity manifestation.
