The tour operator will be present at the largest tourism fair in Portugal, highlighting its diversified portfolio of operations for 2025 in the year of celebrating half a century of activity.
The Caribbean, North Africa, Spanish islands, Albania, Slovenia and Cape Verde are some of Soltour’s main bets for this year.
Soltour will be present at the 35th edition of BTL – Better Tourism Lisbon Travel Market. The leading independent tour operator in the Iberian Peninsula will be represented at stand 4E45, located in Hall 4.
This participation is of special significance, as it coincides with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the operator and the Piñero Group – a milestone that reflects the contribution made, over the decades, to the development of the tourism and travel industry in Portugal.
The event will serve as a platform for Soltour to promote direct contact with professionals in the sector and foster new synergies, but also to reinforce the brand’s notoriety among consumers and publicize its catalog of destinations on days open to the general public.
Participation in the country’s largest tourism event, in the year of its 50th anniversary, reflects not only Soltour’s successful trajectory and the close relationship it has maintained with the various industry players but also its continued commitment to innovation and adaptation to new market trends.
“We could not miss being present at BTL, an essential showcase for the sector and a privileged opportunity to strengthen relationships with our partners. This year, as we celebrate half a century of history, in addition to presenting our program, we also want to mark this trajectory of commitment to Portuguese tourism and travel agencies, which continue to be our main partner and a major foundation of our success”, says Luís Santos, Director of Soltour in Portugal.
Diversified operations and strategic destinations for 2025
Soltour’s programming for this year reflects its commitment to diversifying experiences, including sun and beach destinations, culture, history, gastronomy and adventure. The Caribbean, namely the Dominican Republic and Mexico, remain essential references in the Soltour catalogue, which will once again have exclusive operations from Portugal to Samaná, with direct flights from Lisbon. Cape Verde, a favorite destination on the national scene, will continue to be at the forefront of the operator’s portfolio, while Cuba remains within reach of Portuguese travelers with direct connections to Varadero, Cayo Santa Maria and Havana.
North Africa also features prominently, with operations to popular destinations in Morocco and Tunisia. In the European market, Soltour will continue to focus on one of the main players in its operations, the Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza) and the Canary Islands (Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife), as well as the Costa Cálida and emerging destinations such as Albania and Slovenia, which stand out for their tourism potential.
