Valença hosts the series of concerts ‘Sons do Caminho’, by Miguel Leite and António Vitorino d’Almeida, accompanied by guests, between May 21 and June 18.
The Sons do Caminho cycle begins on Saturday, May 21, at the Parish Church of Cerdal, at 9:30 pm, with a concert by Miguel Leite and António Vitorino d’Almeida, with the special presence of Pedro Emanuel Pereira, at the piano.
On Saturday, June 4, it will be the turn of the Parish Church of Cristelo Côvo to receive, at 9:30 pm, Miguel Leite and António Vitorino d’Almeida in concert accompanied by João Pedro Santos on clarinet and Joana Barata on piano.
On Saturday, June 18, the Igreja de Santo Estêvão, at the Fortress, welcomes Miguel Leite and António Vitorino d’Almeida, at 9:30 pm, accompanied by Artur Caldeira on classical guitar, Daniel Paredes on Portuguese guitar and Artur Gil Godinho on classical guitar.
‘Sons do Caminho‘ intends to take concerts of high artistic quality, to the parishes crossed by the Portuguese Way to Santiago, in a policy of cultural decentralization by the municipality.
This is an opportunity to attend three high quality free shows hosted by the renowned Miguel Leite and António Vitorino d’Almeida, accompanied by nationally renowned artists.
The ‘Sons do Caminho’ concert cycle is an initiative of the Municipality of Valença that integrates the actions of the application “Valorização dos Caminhos de Santiago – Caminho Português da Costa”, funded by Norte 2020, Operational Program of the Northern Region.
