Sortelha is a Portuguese parish of the county of Sabugal, with 25.27 km ² of the area and 444 inhabitants (2011). Its population density is of 17,6 hab/km ².
It was a town and county seat between 1288 and 1855. It was formed by the parishes of. It had, in 1801, 4 096 inhabitants in 237 km ². After the administrative reforms of the beginning of liberalism, the parishes of Lomba and Pousafoles do Bispo were annexed to it. It had, in 1849, 6 022 inhabitants in 261 km ².
It is today one of the historical villages of Portugal.
