The organization promises a day full of activities and surprises for inhabitants and visitors of the Historical Village of Sortelha, in the municipality of Sabugal, district of Guarda.
Due to the pandemic, face-to-face participation in the initiative will be limited, but live streaming on Facebook from the Historical Villages of Portugal will allow everyone to live and feel the party in Sortelha. The organization adds that throughout the 17th, a Saturday, there will be several activities that evoke the famous legend and recall curiosities and stories about the people and the Historical Village of Sortelha.
The program of the event ‘Sortelha – Beijo Sem Fim’ includes a guided tour of the geological and geomorphological heritage of the village (10 am), a ‘workshop’ and photo tour (2 pm), a picnic (4 pm), the concert ‘Follow me at chapel ‘(5:30 pm) and a circle of stories (7:30 pm).
Participation in the initiative is free, but requires prior registration, which can be done at the Municipality of Sabugal (by phone 271 750 080 or by e-mail ‘eventos.sabugal@cm-sabugal.pt.
The event is promoted by the Association for the Development of Historic Villages of Portugal, organized by the municipality of Sabugal, Sortelha Parish Council, associations and local economic agents, with the support of Centro 2020, Portugal 2020 and the European Regional Development Fund, through the Program for the Economic Valuation of Endogenous Resources (PROVERE).
