The festival will take place on the 15th and 16th of June, and includes show cases, conferences, training, concerts, and speed dating with the musicians, in a mixed format between on-site and online.
South Music wants to bring together in Faro for two days the professional sector of the national music: agents, producers, programmers, and the specialized media.
The platform will remain open after the event, so that new projects can register by increasing the network of artists and contacts, and from there, it will be possible to launch them nationally and internationally.
Fernando Alvim (broadcaster), Rui Miguel Abreu (journalist), Sandra Faria (music festivals) Nuno Saraiva (independent publishers), Inês Maria Menezes (broadcaster), Renato Júnior (musician), Gil Silva (Teatro das Figuras) and Paulo Silva ( Festival Med and Cineteatro Louletano) make up the jury and will be responsible for the final selection.
For South Music, several conferences are scheduled for professionals, one with publishers, the other on copyright and related rights, and the music press will also have the right to a panel as well as music programming.
One of the conferences will focus on sharing the experiences of the ambassadors on how they managed to overcome the barrier of the region and have a national profile.
