Sp. Braga loses and is out of the Europa League
Yesterday, Sp. Braga played the 2nd leg-match with Rangers for the Europa League.
The first minutes at the Municipal de Braga showed a host emblem wanting to be the owner and lord of the ball, for a Rangers who was looking for a counterattack and the speed to apply checkmate in the tie.
The first great opportunity for the Portuguese team only came on 26 minutes by Paulinho, but McGregor denied the Portuguese happiness. At the end of the initial stage, Hagi had the opportunity to unlock the marker, but missed the penalty mark.
However, in the complementary stage, 16 minutes were enough for Kent to bring down Portuguese hopes, following a fantastic pass by Hagi. The opportunities for the city club remained, but McGregor and the lack of aim did not give space for a happy ending.
Today the other Portuguese clubs in the competition are playing, Benfica and FC Porto at home, and Sporting CP in Istanbul.
