SpaceX helps NASA create space station on the Moon

In addition to intending to return to the Moon in 2024, NASA also aims to establish a space station called Lunar Gateway in the orbit of our natural satellite.

It will be at this station that astronauts will be able to stay on these missions to the Moon, which makes it an important strategic point for even more ambitious missions in the future.

NASA has announced that it will have SpaceX’s help in building the Lunar Gateway, with Elon Musk’s agency being tasked with bringing the various components into space. Given the volume of this cargo, this means that SpaceX will use the Falcon Heavy for these missions, a rocket created precisely for heavier loads.

As yet there seems to be no timetable for the start of these Falcon Heavy launches, but it is known that NASA will pay SpaceX $ 330 million (about € 272 million) to count on its help.
