SpaceX wants to build floating space ports
SpaceX’s first manned mission was just the beginning of the ambitions of the aeronautical company Elon Musk, which announced on Twitter that it now plans to build floating space ports.
These spaceports located at sea could help make these SpaceX launches even more flexible. On land there are only a limited number of suitable rocket launch locations, it is easy to see that launches from water are more attractive.
The ports in question will serve to launch future SpaceX missions to the Moon and Mars, missions that will be carried out on the company’s rocket, the Starship.
