Spain is the invited country of the Lisbon Book Fair of 2019

Spain will be the invited country of the Book Fair of Lisbon in 2019 and Portugal of the Seville event, announced today the Portuguese Prime Minister, António Costa.

“Portugal was the guest country of the Book Fair of Madrid [Spain] a year ago and next year Spain will be the invited country of the Book Fair of Lisbon and Portugal of the Book Fair of Seville [Spain]”, stated the head of the Portuguese executive at the balance press conference of the 30th bilateral summit in Valladolid, Spain.

In 2017, Portugal was the invited country of the 76th Madrid Book Fair, which took place from May 26 to June 11, in what is an important platform of the Spanish book industry.

The exhibition, which took place in the Retiro Park of the Spanish capital, was an opportunity to introduce Portuguese authors and to encourage translations into the Spanish language.
