Special edition of “Canções do Pós-Guerra” with 6 unreleased solo recordings now available

About a year ago, Samuel Úria announced “Canções do Pós-Guerra”, the album he had prepared for the beginning of 2020.

The pandemic situation forced him to postpone it until September, and so it was. Months later, behold, the pandemic and the consequent confinement conditioned him again.

This time with our advantage, since Samuel proposed to look at the repertoire of “Canções do Pós-Guerra“, but not only, in a solitary register. You hear “the real melancholy of the early days of 2021”, a very adequate description of himself.

The result is a special edition of the album, to which are added 6 unreleased solo recordings, in which Samuel’s distinct voice and the rawness of the guitars fill the silence, in a splendid exercise of intimacy.

And we feel cuddled by the purest state of composition of Samuel’s songs, before they belong to the lives of those who listen to them. Nelson Carvalho’s sound design, different from song to song, contributes to this.

This launch came today exclusively to digital platforms. The EP with the six themes will be edited in audio cassette format, only available for sale at the concerts in an “analog” pack with the vinyl of “Canções do Pós-Guerra“.

Following is the live presentation of unique features in Lisbon and Porto: 3 and 4 at Teatro Maria Matos (Lisbon) and 6 and 7 at the CCOP Auditorium (Porto).
