Sporting received and won, this Wednesday, Benfica by 31-29, in a delayed match of the 14th round of the Liga Placard in handball.
At the João Rocha Pavilion, the scorer was always very balanced, with successive draws, but the group guided by Rui Silva ended up reaching the interval to win by 14-13. In the second part, the play remained, until Benfica came around (21-23).
The lions were strong in the reaction and, benefiting from technical failures of the opponent, ended up winning by 31-29, with Carlos Ruesga standing out in the finalization chapter (he finished with 8 goals).
With the victory, Sporting jumps to the front of the standings, with 64 points, having one more game than FC Porto, now runner-up, with 63. Benfica is third, with 59.
