Sporting beats Benfica and takes the lead of the play-off final
Sporting beat Benfica, 2-1, in game 3 of the play-off final of the national futsal championship, and, thus, is closer to winning the title.
In a match held this Thursday night, at the João Rocha Pavilion, in Lisbon, Diego Cavinato, after 6 minutes, advanced the lions on the scoreboard. Shortly thereafter, however, Silvestre Ferreira, after an excellent assist from Robinho, tied for the eagles.
In the second half, where balance was the dominant note, only one goal and for Sporting: Erick Mendonça’s shot, the ball hit the post, but, continuously, bounced off the back of Diego Roncaglio and entered. The red goalkeeper still protested to the refereeing team, arguing that the ball had not fully entered his goal, but the truth is that the goal was validated and turned out to be decisive in the accounts of the match.
With this triumph, Sporting has an advantage in the play-off final, being able to become national champion this Sunday (17.30 hours), if they beat Benfica, at Pavilhão da Luz, in game 4.
