Sporting drew, this Tuesday, against V. Setúbal (0-0) and left the decision of third-place still open.
Sporting were looking to win and thus secure third place in the leaderboard after SC Braga skidded the day before against Paços de Ferreira. V. Setúbal was trying desperately to score points in order to escape from an uneasy zone in the league table
The bets on Tiago Tomás and Francisco Geraldes were the main novelties in the team of Rúben Amorim. The 18-year-old made his debut as a starter with the Sporting shirt, after four matches in the main team.
The 25-year-old also had this status for the first time with the lion on his chest. Vietto was also new to the lions but with the Argentine sitting on the bench after having recovered from a shoulder problem.
In the end, it was V. Setúbal who had more reason to celebrate, as he is closer to maintenance. Sporting has to play with Benfica to try to confirm the third place.
