Sporting among the four teams in Europe undefeated in the championship

Playing 24 rounds of the national football championship, Sporting is the leader with 64 points, the result of 20 wins and four draws, being the only team in the I League that has not yet suffered any defeat.

In the main European leagues there is no other club that is undefeated. In the Big Five there are no teams that remain without defeats so far, but in Europe there are three more records equal to those of Sporting: in Scotland, Serbia and the Czech Republic.

In the Scottish league, Rangers were crowned champions at the beginning of the month and thus achieved their first title in 10 years in the League, after a period marked by bankruptcy and a fall to the lower divisions.

At this moment, on the 32nd round, Rangers have 89 points, won with 28 wins and five draws. The Scots scored 78 goals and conceded just 10, which were insufficient to defeat Steven Gerrard’s team.

In Serbia, it is Estrela Vermelha who is making a campaign without defeats so far. After 28 rounds, Dejan Stankovic’s team leads with 80 points, thanks to 26 wins and two draws. No Serbian club has yet managed to beat Estrela Vermelha this season, which currently has 78 goals scored and 12 conceded.

Now, with 24 consecutive games without losing and ten from the end, the 86 points are well within Sporting’s reach, with just 22 points in the 30 still up for grabs.

In the Czech Republic, Slavia Praga occupies the 1st place with 64 points, after 24 days, with 20 wins and four draws, just like Sporting.
