Sporting wins and joins Benfica in the lead
Sporting imposed, this Sunday, the first defeat to Benfica in the women’s soccer championship, when they beat the eagles 3-2, in a match played at the Aurélio Pereira stadium, in Alcochete.
In a match for the 15th round of the competition, the red team, who had entered the match better, was the first to open the scoring in Alcochete with a clear shot from Julia Spetsmark in the 14th minute.
With a penalty, Nevena Damjanovic equalized the meeting for the lionesses in the 25th minute, before Raquel Fernandes stamped three minutes later the turnaround.
The advantage of Alvalade’s team would be canceled in the second half when, in the 63rd minute, Cloé Lacasse shot from a distance and beat Patrícia Morais for the second time.
