Sporting wins Continental Cup

Sporting beat Porto 3-2 at the João Rocha Pavilion.

Sporting won the first continental roller hockey cup, beating FC Porto 3-2 at home.

In a hotly contested match, it was Sporting who opened the scoring after 11 minutes for Gonzalo Romero but Porto responded shortly after for Carlo di Benedetto.

The home team moved to the front of the scorer at the end of the first half by Gonzalo Romero to make it 2-1 with a header at half-time.

Porto equalized again for Giulio Cocco, and at the end of the game, Raul Marín scored the goal, sealing the final result.

Sporting, who are the European champions in the title, succeed Barcelona in winning the Continental Cup.
