Spotify announced the launch of Greenroom
Music platform Spotify announced this Wednesday the launch of ‘Greenroom’, a new voice chat application that will compete with Clubhouse.
Spotify Greenroom will work separately from the music platform, but users will be able to use the same log in for both apps. The application will be available for free for iPhone and Android in over 130 countries.
The limit is 1,000 people simultaneously in a room and participants can “raise their hand” to ask for the floor. The audience can applaud, giving a kind of virtual currency to the speaker.
Spotify Greenroom will also have an option to turn conversations into podcasts.
All audios will be recorded to moderate and combat hate speech, according to the company.
