Daniel Mestre of W52-FC Porto won the sprint the third stage, leadership remains in the hands of teammate Gustavo Veloso.
The cyclist, Daniel Mestre finished the 194.1-kilometre stage between Santarém and Castelo Branco with a time of 5: 11.37 hours, and beat the goal, Clément Russo of Arkéa Samsic and August Jensen of Israel Cycling Academy, who were second and third, respectively.
Veloso, who was the winner of the Tour de Portugal. In both 2014 and 2015, he maintained command of the overall standings, three seconds ahead of Mikel Aristi of Euskadi-Murias and eight seconds ahead of Mestre, who took third overall in this stage.
Tomorrow, Sunday, one stage of 145-kilometre, will be played, from Pampilhosa da Serra to Torre, with a special category mountain count.
