The virtuoso guitarist Stanley Jordan was at the Tivoli and demonstrated why he is one of the best guitarists ever, and he had an audience of dazzled fans in the Lisbon room, who reciprocated with much warmth and applause.

His music is imbued with warmth and sensitivity that captured the imagination of listeners, and of course, Lisbon was no different, whether, on the guitar or the piano, the themes he was interpreting were spectacular.
A classically trained pianist, Jordan wanted greater freedom in expressing the chords on his guitar, so he applied piano principles to do this. Jordan’s playing technique allows the guitarist to play melody and chords simultaneously with an unprecedented level of independence.
