State Secretary for Tax Affairs debates Digital Economy and Taxation

The globalization of markets, with the expansion to different geographies, with different taxation profiles, as well as electronic commerce, have a great impact on taxation.

In this context, the definition of the concept of stable establishment is one of the areas that present the greatest challenges. This will be the central theme of the Conference “The Digital Economy and Taxation: current and future challenges” organized by ISEG, on March 3rd.

The initiative has the participation of António Mendonça Mendes, Secretary of State for Tax Affairs, who will speak about the evolution of the concept of stable establishment and Taxation of digital services. Luís Magalhães, Head of Tax of KPMG; Patrícia Matos, Deloitte’s pro-manager; and Manuel Freitas Pereira, former Judge of the Court of Auditors.
