STAY HOTELS was once again recognized by Sociedade Ponto Verde (SPV) with the official certification of the avoided carbon footprint “Less Footprint, More Future”.
By adhering to SPV’s Integrated Packaging Waste Management System, STAY HOTELS strengthens its commitment to a greener and more sustainable future, assuming a correct material and energy recovery of waste.
During 2021, STAY HOTELS avoided the emission of 251.81 kg of CO2 into the atmosphere, the equivalent of less 2,520 km traveled by car.
This result was calculated based on the amount of packaging used by the hotel group and the overall performance of the waste management system managed by SPV.
“At STAY HOTELS, we work continuously to promote a circular economy, through the optimization of resources, reduction of waste and its correct recovery. Receiving this certification again makes us, of course, very proud. Taking care of the planet and future generations is a collective responsibility”, says Jorge Bastos, Administrator of STAY HOTELS.
