On June 4th, Stay Hotels resumes its activity with the opening of the Stay Hotel Porto Centro Trindade, Stay Hotel Coimbra Centro, Stay Hotel Torres Vedras Centro, Stay Hotel Faro Centro and Stay Hotel Lisboa Centro Chiado, the latest unit Group, opened in early 2020.
[dropcap]W[/dropcap]ith the “Clean & Safe” seal of Turismo de Portugal, the Group thus undertakes to follow all the hygiene and safety guidelines of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), reflected in the Internal Protocol developed for this purpose . The reopening of Stay Hotels is also marked by the offer of special conditions for health professionals and the #StaySafeStayWithUs campaign, which is evident in all the brand’s online and offline communication.
Stay Hotels has implemented a set of procedures in order to offer the best safety and hygiene conditions to guests and employees. The customer experience at the Group’s units was rethought in order to guarantee the proper social distance, which implied some operational changes, such as the breakfast that is now served in room service and with disposable utensils; limiting the capacity of the units themselves through the interleaved allocation of rooms; the limitation and more frequent cleaning of common areas, among other measures.
All Hotel Quality Managers of the Group’s units participated in the “Clean & Safe” training at Turismo de Portugal, and the remaining employees will also receive a training program in the same scope, developed by the partner in this area, in the days leading up to the reopening. hotels.
“The well-being and safety of our customers has always been a priority for Stay Hotels. In this resumption of activity, we want to continue to ensure memorable experiences, in safety, and with the quality of service that we have always proposed.
To this end, we worked on a series of measures that now make our hotels safe places to be, where our guests always leave with a desire to return ”, explains Jorge Bastos, one of the Stay Hotels Directors.
The brand reinforced its already strict health protocols, with regard to disinfection, cleaning, prevention and infection control, in order to guarantee even cleaner and safer environments in all its hotels, according to the recommendations of the DGS.
In addition to reinforcing cleanliness, namely surfaces and objects in common use, alcohol-based antiseptic solution dispensers and personal protective equipment will be available for employees and customers. Acrylics were also installed at the reception to ensure proper social distance.
Stay Hotels thus reopens, in a first phase, the hotels located in the main cities of the country, with emphasis on its Chiado unit. With four stars, the Stay Hotel Lisboa Centro Chiado opened its doors at the beginning of the year, resulting from the conversion of a historic building located at Rua do Crucifixo, 57.
With 38 rooms of types Stay One, Stay Double, Stay Double Superior, Stay Twin Superior, Stay Triple, Stay Suite and Stay Suite Superior, the unit ensures a breakfast with fresh food, served at extended hours (from 6:30 am to 12:00 pm) ; JUST DELICIOUS snacks available 24 hours; STRIDA bikes for free to promote visits to the city in a healthy and ecological way; free wifi throughout the hotel; spacious and comfortable rooms, and personalized service. The investment was around 2.5 million euros.
Stay Hotels is a national reference brand for city hotels that opened in 2013 with the opening of its first hotel in Torres Vedras. Currently, it has nine units, located in Coimbra, Évora, Faro, Guimarães, Torres Vedras, Lisbon (two) and Porto (two). Also in 2020, a unit will also start operating near Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, in Porto, and another one near Humberto Delgado Airport, in Lisbon.
