Stewart Sukuma passes through Portugal on the European Tour

Stewart Sukuma’s tour will run from July 15th to August 31st and will take in several European stages.

This year Stewart Sukuma celebrates 40 years of a balanced and solid career in the cultural context of Mozambique and beyond, the artist has created an indelible mark on the stages and cities where he has been, positioning himself as the true ambassador of Mozambican culture in the world.

In addition to the musical activity that began in 1982 with the recording of his first song entitled “Música Quente”, Stewart Sukuma embraced in a convinced and determined way the social activism that accompanies him until today, making part of his daily life and shouldering equal importance with the music.

Musician and activist, the artist also has an important role as a writer and has already made a few cameos as an actor.

40 years later, Stewart Sukuma still manages to reinvent himself with a unique marrabenta without losing the essence of the 50s. The first musician to break the language barrier by singing this popular Tsonga style in Portuguese.
