SUDD receives two medals in the Wines of Portugal competition

For the first time in the competition, SUDD collected two medals in the Wines of Portugal 2021 Competition, promoted by ViniPortugal: Great Gold for your wine, SUDD Red Reserva Bairrada 2015 and Silver with the SUDD Red Reserva Douro 2015.

With grape varieties Baga (60%), Touriga Nacional (20%) and Aragonez (20%), it has a fruity flavor , soft and elegant, with notorious mouth volume and long persistence. It has a 9-month aging period in French oak barrels and at least 3 months after bottling.

The management of Frijobel Global, which owns the SUDD brand, says: “These awards confirm the quality of the SUDD brand wines, which will allow them to increase their notoriety and recognition. Having a wine awarded the Grande Ouro medal (distinction given to 35 wines, sparkling wines and liqueurs) is a huge satisfaction for all of us who intend to affirm a new brand concept in the wine sector”.

SUDD Wines stood out among the 1,400 Portuguese wines in the blind tasting competition, evaluated by a jury of 134 sector experts (national and international), including winemakers, sommeliers, journalists, wine educators, among others. In total, 419 wines were awarded: 35 Great Gold, 103 Gold and 281 Silver.

The Concurso Vinhos de Portugal has established itself as a reference event for the sector, which bets on the quality of national wines and on the promotion of the wine-producing reality in Portugal. Its 8th edition took place at the end of May and ended with an awards ceremony transmitted digitally from the Convento de Jesus, in Setúbal.
