Jazzy Dance Camp will take place for the first time at Sumol Summer Fest, thus bringing the passion for dance to the Festival, in a new space at Campismo.

On the 1st and 2nd of July, Sumol Summer Fest returns for a memorable edition. After two years of forced absence, the uncertainty has now been replaced by the anxiety of waiting for the celebration of summer, the beach and friends, which this year takes place again at Ericeira Camping. Under the motto “It’s what you are“, the Festival is back to betting on the recipe for success: the best music in the best environment, in the heart of Ericeira Camping and with the beach right next door, to set the tone for the best summer ever!
Accompanying the music that is part of everyday life, hip hop remains a strong bet in the 12th edition of Sumol Summer Fest, both nationally and internationally. Confirming it, the poster features names like Burna Boy, Trippie Redd, IAMDDB, and the Portuguese Piruka, NENNY, T-Rex, Lon3r Johny, Phoenix RDC and Mobbers. Each night of the Festival ends with a party, with DJ sets by RIOT and the Brazilian RDD.
In this return, the unique and exclusive moment, created for each edition of the Festival, also returns. In the 12th edition, this moment is materialized in the show entitled EIXO NORTE-SUL. A concert that will show, on Palco Sumol, the best that is being done in urban music from North to South of the country. Leading the North team will be rapper Mundo Segundo, whose team will feature MCs Maze, Ace, Deau and Virtus, and DJs Guze and Spot. Representing the South, we will have the leader XEG, who will take the stage accompanied by MCs Chullage, Sir Scratch, Kappa Jotta, Deezy and DJ Big. To not lose!
All of this will take place on the Sumol Stage, but the schedule for this long-awaited return to Sumol Summer Fest doesn’t stop there.

Quiksilver Boardriders Skate Park is a unique park in Portugal, due to its location by the sea, bringing together the spirit of surfing and skateboarding in one space. For the 5th consecutive edition, this space is associated with Sumol Summer Fest to offer us a program that privileges music, but also, of course, skateboarding… Today the Music program is revealed.
The performances by Cíntia and RUSSA, as well as the DJ sets by Flaca, Mike El Nite, Shaka Lion and Von Di, are curated by MEDIAsounds for the Quiksilver stage at Sumol Summer Fest. From hip hop to reggaeton, from afrobeat to soul, never has a skate competition had such an eclectic soundtrack!
CÍNTIA LIVE ACT
It was in 2017, at just 17 years old, that Cíntia became truly interested in music. It all started when being challenged by a friend to enter the studio and create a new theme. Influenced from a very early age by names like NGA, Força Suprema, J Hus, WizKid or Naira Marley, she has been giving cards in afro swing and urban pop. With just under two years of career, the artist already has an EP and 3 singles. Despite her roots in hip-hop, her music still expands into musical territories such as kizomba or kuduro, attracting a large following on various digital distribution platforms and various collaborations with institutions and major brands.
RUSSA LIVE ACT
This is a very promising female talent who wants to conquer the “throne” of national rap. Clever when equipped with a pen, RUSSA is the winner of the New Talents FNAC 2019 and was also consecrated the “Breakthrough Artist” of the MIMO Festival. In 2017, she officially began her artistic career with the launch of her first project, Mixtape T.P.C.. However, her first poem had appeared years earlier, around 2014. The Portuguese rapper gained greater prominence in 2018, when she released a of the first conscious trap albums in the country: “Catarse”. In 2019, she releases three works: “Mixtape L.S.D.”, “EP Crews na Cruz Vol.I” and EP “Party Leftovers”. The artist is now starting to unveil her next album, single by single, until her consecration on stage at Sumol Summer Fest.
MIKE EL NITE DJ SET
Mike El Nite is not shy about unearthing the Portuguese guilty pleasures of the past and presenting them again through a contemporary lens. Proof of this is the success of “O Justiceiro”, his first LP, considered by Antena 3 one of the best national albums in 2016, and also his most recent work in partnership with David Bruno. Mike El Nite is already a widely known figure to the public as a Rapper and Producer, but few know his passion for Latin rhythms as a DJ. It is this facet that he will make known on the Quiksilver stage at Sumol Summer Fest.
SHAKA LION DJ SET
With a wide smile and long braids, Shaka Lion fits an entire planet. Brazil, which is in your body. Jamaica, who grew up listening. Barreiro, where he went to school. Lisbon, agglutination of currents and centre of gravity of movements. And the world where it goes. Between clubs and festivals, he is still heard on the radio: he was responsible for sets on NTS and Beats 1, the latter stamped by Soulection, a sound family he has kept close to and that makes a point of having him close, inviting him to various gatherings. and narrations for Smino and Sango.
VON DI DJ SET
Von Di is one of the most exciting names of the new generation of national DJs and producers. With a set full of afrobeat, hip hop, baile funk and reggaeton, the producer has also stood out nationally and internationally by producing songs for names such as MGDRV, Gabe and Abira.
FLACA DJ SET
Flaca is one of the main drivers of the new reggaeton scene in Madrid. The Argentine DJ and producer have one of the most listened-to programs on Primavera Sound radio (Pal Piso) and was recently invited to create a new program for the cultural centre La Casa Encendida, where she also teaches DJ courses and music production to the community. The mixtapes she made for Ms. Nina and DJ Florentino, in a fusion of funk, cumbia, reggaeton, trap and other styles from the depths of Soundcloud, quickly took her to higher flights, such as her recent visit to the Boiler Room, confirmation for Tomorrowland in Holland or the private parties of C. Tangana.
Jazzy Dance Camp takes place for the first time at Sumol Summer Fest
Seven years after its first edition, Jazzy Dance Camp, an initiative of Jazzy Dance Studios, now moves to Ericeira and joins one of the most emblematic Portuguese summer festivals. The Sumol Summer Fest music lineup is thus joined by a lineup and a dance stage located at the Festival Camping, which meets the favourite rhythms of the thousands of festival-goers who, for two days, will make the Ericeira Camping atmosphere even more magical…
It was in 2016 that Jazzy Dance Studios announced the first Jazzy Dance Camp. During a weekend, some of the most renowned national and international dancers took the stage for masters and workshops that put about 400 people dancing Kuduro, Dancehall, Hip Hop, House, Afro House and other urban rhythms. “It was an important moment for the brand, inviting dancers of all ages to share a different concept, in an event that grew from year to year and that allowed us to gain credibility and notoriety“, explains Álvaro Lopes, director of Jazzy Dance Studios. “Despite this gradual growth, we always felt the urge to give a different framework to Jazzy Dance Camp and Sumol Summer Fest emerged as the perfect partner. Music and dance are inseparable, and Ericeira seems to us to be the perfect place to set the pace for this combination, offering a new stage to all Festival visitors, who can enjoy an extra program, where they can take dance classes with some of the best teachers and choreographers in our country, in addition to being able to attend exhibitions of crews“.

Partnership with the #OneStep4MusicFest project gives stage to new values at Sumol Summer Fest
Lucas Dioney is the winner of the Urban Dance Contest for the #OneStep4MusicFest 2021/22 project. He has been in Portugal for two years and is a teacher of urban dances. He is 27 years old, is from Canind, Brazil, and has been involved in the artistic field since he was very young. In his city there were no dance schools, which forced him to be self-taught, learning everything through tutorials on the internet. After going to college and moving to another city, he had the opportunity to take dance classes. Later he started working with a very famous comedian in Brazil called Tirullipa. Together they traveled throughout Brazil, in a show whose choreographies were in charge of Lucas. In two performances prepared to open the Quiksilver Stage program on each of the Festival days, Lucas will perform with the performance “Let’s Dance 4 You”, accompanied by several guest dancers and also by a DJ: Xicocas on the 1st and Décio on the 2nd, winner and finalist of the #OneStep4MusicFest 2021/22 DJ Contest, respectively.
