SunEnergy increases turnover by 10% in the first half of 2020
SunEnergy, a specialist in solutions for the production of electricity from the sun, increased its turnover by 10% over the same period, reaching 2 million euros.
During the first half of 2020, the company, based in Coimbra, installed 6,300 solar panels, corresponding to 4,000 kW of installed power. These SunEnergy projects will allow the accumulated savings of more than 650 thousand euros per year to its customers, in addition to avoiding the emission of more than 2,600 tons of CO2 per year.
SunEnergy has 10 delegations from north to south of Portugal, employing more than 50 people. To cope with growth, the company is also recruiting new professionals to reinforce its employee structure, especially in the areas of Engineering and installation technicians.
“Our lives have changed a lot with the Covid-19 pandemic, but the Solar Energy sector seems to be resisting the economic crisis caused by the health crisis better than most other sectors.
In fact, we have seen that the Portuguese are betting more and more on solutions that contribute to reducing their ecological footprint, but, at the same time, allow for significant economic savings ”, says Raul Santos, CEO of SunEnergy.
“For the second half of the year, we believe in accelerating this pace of growth, given the pipeline of projects in the portfolio. As such, we believe that the annual growth may even be higher than that registered in the first half ”, he concludes.
