Supa Squad and Deejay Telio announced for the Côa Summer Fest
Supa Squad and Deejay Telio are the first confirmed names for the Côa Summer Fest festival that takes place in Foz Côa from August 1 to 3, promising sonorities with roots in Lusophony.
“In the eight years of the festival, names such as Blaya, Putzgrilla, Richie Campbell, among many others have passed through the stages of the Côa Summer Fest.” This year we maintain the purpose of giving our festival-goers the best Portuguese-speaking artists, “said Pedro Pimenta, president of the Gustavo Filipe Youth Association, the entity responsible for the festival.
The promoters of the festival left the guarantee that “along with these great confirmations”, to complete the poster there will be other names of “artists on the rise already with a lot of popularity.” “This will be a revelation that we will leave for later,” he said.
The organization of the festival argues that the festival stands out because it is not only dedicated to music, organizing in parallel several activities – to be announced shortly – to the “festivals” that annually mark the city, located between two patrimonies of humanity: Paleolithic Art of the Côa Valley and the Alto Douro Vinhateiro.
The Côa Summer Fest has the support of the municipality of Foz Côa and continues to want to bet and energize the interior of the country, because “summer is not just beach”.
Rui Pedro Pimenta says that the purpose of the festival is to make known to the young people the charms of Vila Nova Foz Côa.
“We are the only gender festival in the Guarda district, and we want to be an alternative to summer programs and festivals that occur, mostly on the coast,” he said.
The Côa Summer Fest offers entry to the municipal pools at reduced prices for holders of the festival bracelet.
As in previous editions, access to concerts and camping is free.
For those who do not want to camp, it is possible to stay overnight at the youth hostel at special prices.
