The 26th edition of Super Bock Super Rock will take place at Altice Arena, at Parque das Nações, in Lisbon, on the same dates, 14th, 15th, and 16th of July, keeping the schedule scheduled for Meco.
This change results from the state of contingency decreed by the Government, due to the high risk of fires, and the consequent ban on carrying out any activities in forest areas.
Despite all efforts to find risk mitigation solutions, in order to make it possible to hold the Festival in Meco, this location was not authorized. Taking into account this context, the safety of people and goods, and strict compliance with the instructions of the competent authorities, the organization is forced to the only possible solution two days from the 26th edition: changing the Festival location to Parque das Nações.
This is a place where several editions of Super Bock Super Rock have already taken place and the organization is doing everything to, in record time, provide the best experience to the public so they can watch the performance of their favorite artists.
Tickets purchased will be valid for the new location without the need to exchange or issue a new ticket. The warm-up scheduled for the 13th, under these circumstances, cannot take place. For pass holders for the 3 days of the Festival who would camp in Meco, the organization is preparing alternative camping in collaboration with the Chamber, in Parque Tejo / Caminho das Andorinhas. All details will be given as soon as possible.
After 2 years without being able to give the public what we know best, we are now waiting for everyone’s understanding, certain that, together with all our partners, artists, technical teams, and the public, this will be a memorable edition.
Luís Montez, director general of Música no Coração, says that “the option was never to cancel. We were forced to relocate the Super Bock Super Rock and we are already, in force, with the artists, teams, and partners, to set up the Festival in Parque das Nações, where there are already several infrastructures that make this location viable. It is time to support Culture and artists and, therefore, I leave this appeal to the public to come to Super Bock Super Rock.”
Nuno Bernardo, Marketing Manager at Super Bock Group, says that this move to Parque das Nações was “something that was not in the plans. We were working to return to Meco, together with Música no Coração, but the current state of contingency in the country forced us to change the location of the festival. As a responsible brand, we know that the safety and well-being of people is the most important and, therefore, we follow the national effort to minimize possible risks. We are focused on living authentic and memorable moments!”
