The Peruvian singer returned to Portugal to present her new album “Palabras Urgentes”, and many did not want to miss the opportunity to hear her.
Susana Baca performed at Teatro Tivoli BBVA when she celebrated 50 years of her career and with a new work “Palabras Urgentes”, recognized for her extraordinary work in rescuing the Peruvian Afro song in combination with the promotion of Latin American poets, in this work she uses the most powerful weapon against injustice: knowledge.
The album was released when Peru’s 200 years of independence were celebrated, but it also intends to be a form of protest and debate, encouraging the celebration of life and the vindication of causes and ideals, in a tribute to those who fought for a better world.
There was many warm applause and many cultural figures, and beyond, who traveled to the Tivoli BBVA Theater to hear her, the singer thanked us for the opportunity to return to Portugal and to the beautiful city of Lisbon and gave us a magnificent concert.
