‘SWING’, the comedy that promises to get the country talking about sexual etiquette
On display from March
What happens when two couples swing together? And, no, it’s not for dancing. The comedy starring Diana Nicolau, Diogo Morgado, Manuel Marques and Susana Blazer will not leave room for dances.
Diana Nicolau, Diogo Morgado, Manuel Marques and Susana Blazer will be performing, from March 8th, at the Auditório dos Oceanos, Casino Lisboa, with the comedy “SWING”. After Lisbon, there will be a tour of several other cities in the country.
This comedy, written by Henrique Dias, and directed by Adriano Luz, with set design by Catarina Amaro and costumes by Dino Alves, brings to the stage themes such as relationships, sexual etiquette, shame and truth and the swinger lifestyle to stimulate a marital relationship.
On stage, Diogo Morgado and Diana Nicolau, in the roles of Nuno and Sofia, apparently form a happy and successful couple, with the dream life of any family except their sex life. After years of marriage and demanding professional lives, the love remains, but the intimacy has disappeared. To revive the flame that had gone out, the couple decided to try swinging.
On the other hand, Manuel Marques and Susana Blazer, who play the characters of the couple Renato and Márcia, are a liberal couple, owners of a mini-market in Fernão Ferro and federated swing practitioners since 2003, known as the “Kings of Swing”.
Renato and Márcia’s experience intersects with Nuno and Sofia’s inexperience when the couple in crisis responds to an online ad: What will happen at this meeting? Can everyone follow through with the experience?
The answer will be on display at the Auditório dos Oceanos / Casino Lisboa until June 29th and, during the summer “SWING” will take to the stage at the Coliseu Porto (July 5th and 6th); Taubaté Cultural Center (July 11); Point C – Culture and Creativity, in Penafiel (July 13); Theatre of Figures, in Faro (17th and 18th July). CAE Figueira da Foz (19th and 20th July), Teatro José Lúcio da Silva, in Leiria (31st July) and flies to the Azores, to the Coliseu Micaelense, on 5th September.
Tickets for “SWING” are now on sale at Ticketline and the usual locations.
