The European Roller Hockey Committee announced this Saturday that the Continental Cup has been annulled. The trophy, remember, put the finalists of the Europa League and the WS Europa Cup face to face.
Through a statement, this body justified this decision with the lack of candidacies for the organization of the event. The tournament is played in a final four style, with semi-finals and a final.
Remember that this year’s edition again featured two Portuguese teams. Sporting, current European champion, was going to face Sarzana’s Italians, while FC Porto, European vice-champion, had an appointment with Lérida.
