Thailand launches new arrival Card Digital System

All foreign visitors must submit their arrival data online before entering Thailand, mandatory from 1 May

Thailand’s Immigration Department will launch Thailand’s new Digital Arrival Card (ADC) system on May 1, 2025, replacing the current paper for foreign citizens.

From that date, all foreign visitors shall submit their arrival information electronically before entering Thailand, whether by air, land or sea.

The TDAC is part of the digital transformation of Thai government immigration procedures and is administered by the Thai Immigration Department. The system is designed to speed up border processing, reduce bureaucracy and increase travellers’ convenience.

The completion of the TDAC is mandatory for all holders of foreign passports, including tourists, business travellers and long-term residents. The exceptions apply only to travellers in transit or transfer through Thailand without going through immigration control and to those who enter using a Border Pass.

Travellers may submit the TDAC up to three days before the expected arrival date in the country. For example, if the arrival is on May 5, submission can be made from May 2. The system will be available for submissions from April 28th to contemplate travellers arriving at the launch date.

The form is available on the official website of the Immigration Department at tdac.immigration.go.th

Travelers may submit the ADCT individually or as part of a group through the portal. The information can be updated at any time before the trip, and the necessary details include passport information, personal and travel details, accommodation in Thailand and a basic health statement.

Long-term or permanent foreign residents in Thailand must select “Thailand” under the option “Country of Residence”, which will be available as soon as the system is activated.

Travellers who are unable to complete the TDAC before arrival and do not have internet access at the point of entry shall be assisted at designated help points located at immigration checkpoints. This assistance is intended only for exceptional circumstances. All travellers are strongly encouraged to complete the TDAC online in advance to avoid delays and reduce congestion at entry points.
