Tame Impala signs new song, “Wings of Time”
for the movie “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves”
The Tame Impala (Kevin Parker) has released “Wings of Time”, an original song written for the film “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” from Paramount Pictures and eOne. The song is available on all digital platforms via Fiction, distributed by Virgin Music Group.
“Being asked to write a song for the ‘D&D’ soundtrack felt like an unmissable opportunity to indulge my longtime love of fantasy prog rock,” says Parker. “I recruited my good friend Nicholas Allbrook, who is the person who most appreciates this genre. We rented a castle-like villa in Spain for two nights during the Primavera tour. This venue put us in the right frame of mind and the song came from there. We stayed up late with weird ideas and song lyrics.”
In “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves”, a charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers prepare an epic heist to recover a lost relic, but everything gets complicated when they come into conflict with the wrong people. The film brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary role-playing game to the big screen in this classic and hilarious action-packed adventure. Written, directed, and produced by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, and starring Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Hugh Grant, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Chloe Coleman, and Daisy Head, “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves ” hits theaters on March 30.
